  • DENTAL CARE

Pet dental care is one of the most commonly overlooked areas of concern in veterinary practice. Dentistry is an important aspect of your pet's overall health and can increase your pet's life span, and even make your pet more pleasurable to be around. Plaque is a colorless film composed mostly of bacteria that builds up on your pet's teeth and under the gum line. This leads to bad breath, tooth loss, and may affect internal organs, such as the liver, kidneys, and heart. Professional cleaning is the most effective method to ensure your pet's dental health. The teeth are cleaned with an ultasonic scaler and polished similarly to your own teeth. This procedure does not damage the teeth or gums. Routine brushing with a special enzyme-enhanced pet toothpaste, available at our hospital, will greatly reduce new tartar build-up, delay the need for future dental procedures, and make your pet's breath more acceptable. Our hospital offers the most current equipment and anesthesia procedures available to make dental health affordable and safe. Contact our office today to schedule a dental exam for your pet.

  • INTERNAL MEDICINE

We cover all areas of internal medicine, including: Cardiology; Ophthalmology; Neurology; Dermatology; Gastroenterology; Orthopedic surgery; Oncology; Endocrinology; among others.

  • SURGERY

Using the latest equipment, techniques, monitoring devices, and safest anesthesia procedures, we provide both major and minor surgical services, including soft tissue and orthopedic procedures.

Our large, well-equipped surgical suite offers an ideal setting to provide the safety and security needed for a wide variety of soft tissue and orthopedic (bone/skeletal) surgical procedures. We use the latest equipment, techniques, and monitoring devices to measure respiration, heart function, and oxygen saturation. Our trained doctors perform a variety of surgeries from specialized procedures, such as stifle (knee) repair to routine procedures, such as spays and neuters. Our staff of doctors have a combined surgical experience of over 40 years.

  • NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING

We offer an extensive inventory of pet prescription diets for the treatment and prevention of many illnesses. Over the last 20 years, drastic improvements in diet have allowed for a continuous increase in our pets' lifespans. Diets are available today to treat a variety of conditions such as kidney and liver impairment, bladder stones, pancreatitis, allergies, and even certain cancerous conditions. These diets may lessen the severity of some conditions and, in others, actually reverse the condition. New diets are constantly being released, and free information is always available at our hospital.

Obesity is one of the most common concerns for our pet patients. As our companions' bodies age, exercise and activity levels natually decrease, leading to excessive weight gain. There are a number of diets available today to help with this problem. Providing a high quality, high fiber diet will help your pet lose weight without the unnecessary hunger that may lead to discomfort. Our staff is trained to provide information and feeding guidelines to help you maintain your pet's weight in an acceptable range. Please call us at 972-727-5748 today for assistance.

  • RADIOLOGY

Radiology – or X-rays – help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular(cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems.

  • LABORATORY SERVICES

To complement our staff's diagnostic abilities, we offer an array of diagnostic tools and equipment. Our laboratory is equipped with on-site blood chemistry equipment, complete blood count (CBC) instrumentation, x-ray, Toshiba ultrasound and telemedicine computerizations, EKG capability, and a multitude of in-house diagnostic tests. This state of-the-art equipment allows our doctors to better diagnose, treat, and monitor difficult health problems, such as heart disease, liver or kidney disease, and diabetes, among others. The ability to get most results the same day allows shorter recovery and diagnostic times.  We also have affiliations with several "outside" labs that offer us any other testing needed for our patients on a timely basis. The new addition of ultrasound and telemedicine computerization allows us to better evaluate your pet's internal organs more thoroughly and to involve specialists around the nation when outside consultation is needed.

  • ULTRASOUND

This non-invasive, state-of-the-art technology uses sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal organs, primarily the heart and abdominal organs. Pregnancy exams are also available.

  • MICROCHIPPING

Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery.

  • BATHING

Treat your pet to a luxurious bath. Our special, cleansing baths remove dirt, debris and that doggie pet odor – your pet will feel fresh and revitalized. If scratching is a problem, our medicated baths contain soothing agents that stop the itching. Services also include nail trim and ear cleaning.

  • BOARDING

We offer a clean, safe, climate-controlled environment for the boarding of your special pet for short or extended stays.  Dogs are walked outside in our large yard several times a day and have a "play-type' interaction with our kennel personnel. All dogs and cats must be current on their vaccinations and be free of external parasites in order to be allowed in our facilities.  Cats are housed in spotless, stainless steel enclosures and also have multiple interactions with the kennel personnel daily. We feed quality Science Diet foods, or welcome home-provided diets or prescription diets as needed. Pets taking medication are also welcome, and you can be assured of no interruptions in adminstration because of your absence. Boarding rates are charged by the night, and availability is on a reservation basis. Space fills up quickly around holiday times, so plan ahead and call for your reservations early at 972-727-5748.
